"Fitness should be fun and enjoyable. I believe that what you learn on the journey is as (if not more) important than the destination. I'll show you "map" and suggest how to get to your goal, but it's you who'll be doing the work to get there!"

Career History

July 2017 – Present

Full time personal trainer and class instructor at On1 Fitness. I’ve been working with clients at Ocean fitness and now On1 Fitness for the past 3 years. During that time I’ve gained additional qualifications to specialise in weight management for Diabetic and Obese clients and also clients with pre-existing medical conditions. More recently I have gained a qualification to focus on the specialist aging needs of the over 50’s.

December 2019 – Present

Since December I have been working closely with West Sussex County Council and using my Youth Exercise Specialisation, now provide Personal Training with young people who are in contact with their family service. This service has enabled some of the young people I’ve worked with, reduce their anxiety, gain more confidence and in some cases return to full time education.

2016 – 2017

Returning to the gym world, I spent a year working with Southdowns Leisure as a gym instructor and personal trainer.

2015 – 2016

For just under 18 months I worked as part of the operations team for Brighton Half Marathon 2016 race. My main role was the recruitment and deployment of the 500+ volunteers that help to put the event on for The Sussex Beacon charity. I will always cherish the time I spent working on one of the biggest events Brighton hosts each year, I got to work and meet with some very talented people and gained a lot of skills along the way.

Pre 2015

In 2013 I decided nearly 10 years of Financial Services was enough for me, and I decided to turn my fitness hobby into my career. I gained my level 2 fitness instructor qualification in 2013, quickly followed by my level 3 Personal Training qualification in early 2014. I started my career at Fitness First in Brighton where I spent just over a year, before heading off to work on the Brighton Half Marathon. My time working in offices has given me a good insight into the struggles people who are very sedentary have, particularly when it comes to Nutrition, weight loss and flexibility.
